The Department of French and Francophone Studies at Davidson College, a highly selective liberal arts college located near Charlotte, North Carolina, is hiring a 1-year Visiting Assistant Professor of French and Francophone Studies to begin on July 1, 2017. Requirements: PhD or very near completion; native or near-native French and English; evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching. Experience living in a Francophone country is highly desirable. Our new colleague should be prepared to teach all levels of French language and to offer a course in our Introduction to French and Francophone literature series. The course load is 5 courses per year.
