The Associate Director manages Employee Relations and Training and acts on behalf of the Director of HR in his/her absence. The Associate Director serves as a Human Resource Generalist in providing broad HR-based advice to managers, and assists the HR Director in managing the HR department, policy development, diversity initiatives, and projects. Specific responsibilities include employee relations, employee training, diversity initiatives, staff performance management, assisting in the leadership of the HR team and participating in campus committees and projects, and serving as Deputy Title IX Coordinator. Key partner relationships include HR team members, divisional Vice Presidents, the Dean of Faculty, the College’s General Counsel, the College’s Title IX Coordinator, technology team members, managers and supervisors, and external vendors

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, HR, or Organizational Psychology; minimum of 8 years of experience in human resources, minimum 5 years managing employee relations, and minimum 3 years planning and leading HR-related training.
Master’s in Business, HR, or Organizational Psychology, or JD; Supervisory experience; PHR or SPHR certification; and experience in HR in a higher education setting.
