McGee Distinguished Professor of Creative Writing

Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina invites distinguished nonfiction writers to apply for a one semester, non-renewable professorship, the McGee Professor of Writing, for appointment in the spring of 2019. Responsibilities: teach two courses (an Introduction to CNF/History of the Essay, along with an upper level workshop or seminar), serve on two English honors committees, and work closely with students and faculty. Qualifications: extensive high-quality publications, significant awards and/or fellowships; national reputation within the field; demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate level. Previous McGee professors have included Dorothy Allison, Kazim Ali, Thomas Mallon, Sue Miller, D.A. Powell, Victoria Redel, and Ali Selim.
