Research Librarian for Data and Digital Scholarship

Davidson College seeks a Research Librarian for Data and Digital Scholarship to join our library. This librarian partners with staff, faculty, and students to foster research across the disciplines and to support data services. The person in this position increases the visibility, usability, and analysis of digital scholarship and data resources, facilitates research management, and educates the community about intellectual property rights for authors and creators. As a member of the Research, Learning, and Scholarly Communication team, this librarian also provides instructional support to students and engages in liaison activities with faculty.
Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from a program accredited by the American Library Association.
Experience providing excellent reference and instruction services, particularly with data.
Familiarity with United States copyright and author-publisher contract law.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues and partners on- and off-campus.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity.
Experience working with digital repositories.
Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools.
Experience working in a law library and/or doing substantial legal research.
