An Assistant Athletic Trainer is needed to help oversee the operation of the Athletic Training Department and prevention and treatment of athletic related injuries.
Supervise the daily operation of the athletic training room to include developing necessary procedures, schedules and ensure proper use and maintenance of the athletic training equipment.
Coordinate the evaluation, trust, rehabilitation and referral of athletically injured student athletes for physician care: ensure proper evaluation to determine whether students are physically and mentally able to practice and/or compete in intercollegiate programs.
Ensure coverage of scheduled individuals, practices and games for the Men's Baseball team, Women's Field Hockey and assist with outside coverage events; Preventive care, evaluation and development of rehabilitation plans for assigned sport team. Travel with team as assigned by the head athletic trainer which is determined by the athletic department schedule and staffing.
Supervision of student athletic trainers
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Injury recognition, evaluation ,treatment, rehab and appropriate physician referral, taping, bracing, and communications with other staff members, coaches, administration where appropriate, and concise documentation of medical records.
Ensure compliance with NCAA, Conference, and College rules and regulations.
NATABOC certification. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from CAAHEP accredited athletic training program. Licensed by the State of North Carolina. First Aid, CPR and AED certified. Three years of collegiate experience preferred.
