Visiting Assistant Professor
The Davidson College Biology Department invites applications for a two-year visiting assistant professor position in organismal biology and biostatistics, beginning 01 July 2019. The area of specialization is open and may include physiology, evolution, ecology, behavior, conservation biology, or related fields. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in biology (or related field) by July 2019, ability and interest in teaching biostatistics, and teaching experience in introductory organismal biology.
Systems and Cataloging Librarian
Davidson College seeks a collaborative and enthusiastic Systems and Cataloging Librarian to join our library.  This librarian has the responsibility to support robust library systems and apply expertise in cataloging and metadata standards to facilitate discovery and delivery of the library’s physical and electronic collections to the Davidson community.   This position works on projects to deliver new services in support of library digital endeavors and serves on cross-divisional committees and working groups.
Annual Giving Fellow
The Annual Giving Fellow works with the annual giving staff to meet the dollar and alumni participation goals of The Fund for Davidson. Specific responsibilities include managing student and alumni volunteers, overseeing student philanthropy strategies and the Student Ambassador program and assisting with special projects. Athletic Maintenance Worker
Athletic Maintenance Worker needed to perform a variety of custodial cleaning, servicing and building maintenance duties and participate in the preparation and maintenance of athletic fields and facilities; maintain sanitation and perform event setups as needed by the Athletic Department.
Associate Dean of Students
The Associate Dean of Students will administer the student Code of Responsibility at Davidson College, in collaboration with peers and colleagues in the Dean of Students Office, Residence Life Office, division of Student Life, and student, faculty and staff partners. The Associate Dean of Students will be the chief point of contact in the Dean of Students Office and in the division of Student Life on all matters pertaining to student conduct and student community standards. As such, the Associate Dean will serve as a senior leader in the Student Life division whose priorities are: ensuring student conduct processes are implemented in alignment with the College’s Statement of Purpose and the Student Life mission statement; creating opportunities for student learning throughout the student conduct process; communicating broadly about the educational nature of the student conduct process; and continuing to advance Student Handbook changes that are consistent with the College’s Statement of Purpose and with institutional goals and aspirations.
College Advising Corps Adviser
The College Advising Corps seeks to hire multiple College Advisers to serve partner high schools for the 2019-2020 school year. Advisers will be placed in high schools where current College Adviser terms have been completed. Recent Davidson College graduates are hired to serve as college advisers in high need high schools in rural North Carolina. As members of a national movement, College Advising Corps college advisers will help students in underserved communities realize their dreams of attending college.

Dining Service Worker
The Dining Service Worker is responsible for all tasks related to cash register operation, cleaning, stocking, and customer service in a fast paced campus dining unit. An outgoing personality and friendly, approachable demeanor are strongly desired in our employees. Dining Service Workers must be able to work independently while managing their tasks effectively with little direct supervision. This is a 9 month, 40 hour per week position with work guaranteed only during the academic year (mid-August through mid-May). Some summer jobs are available at the college but must be applied for each year. Summer hiring is subject to departmental approval. This is a benefitted position offering access to Medical, Dental and Vision insurance, paid vacation and sick time accrual, and holiday pay.
Data Records Specialist
The Data Records Specialist will be part of a four-member Advancement Services team reporting to the Director of Advancement Services. Working with a high volume of data from a variety of sources, this position will assist with the following – maintaining database records for alumni, parents, friends, corporations and foundations, reviewing and processing online and mailed-in event registrations, reviewing and processing of individual, corporate and foundation gifts and pledges. All entry is done in accordance with College Relations business practices and completed within the established time frame.
Administrative Assistant I
The Administrative Assistant I supports College Relations through maintenance and upkeep of all archived College Relations documents pertaining to alumni, parents, friends, foundations, corporations, and other donors and potential donors to the college. The position also assists Advancement Services with administrative tasks related to gift entry, database updates and event registrations. This job is split between Research and Advancement Services, with 50% of time in each department.
Campus Police Officer
The Campus police officer performs work involving the protection of life and property, the enforcement of laws and ordinances, the maintenance of order, and the investigation of crimes. The officer may perform specialized duties depending upon the individual officer’s background, abilities and needs of the department. The officer applies the community policing philosophy in a fair and impartial manner to all aspects of providing public safety services in a college environment.
Business Intelligence Analyst
As a member of the Division of College Relations, which is the fundraising and advancement arm of Davidson College, the Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for configuration management of the Blackbaud CRM application as well as developing custom Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports to be deployed within the Blackbaud environment. This position will work with staff across the division and campus and is a key member of the operations team within College Relations.
Assistant Chief of Campus Police/Captain
Assistant Chief of Campus Police needed to assist the Chief of Campus Police in general administration and general management of the Davidson College Campus Police Department. Under the direction and in collaboration with the Chief of Campus Police, the Assistant Chief exercises operational and supervisory authority. In the absence of the Chief of Campus Police, assumes limited delegated duties.
Administrative Assistant II - Internal Only
Internal Only - Administrative Assistant II needed to provide a variety of functions in support of the Department of Physical Education, Recreation and Wellness and the Department of Athletics including but not limited to administrative, clerical, and accounting/bookkeeping duties.
