Davidson College seeks a Catering Manager. The successful individual will manage/coordinate all aspects of the F&B operation while delivering excellent customer/guest experiences. This position requires hands-on service and strategic planning for customer satisfaction and employee engagement and attrition. This position will manage department inventories, including waste control, manage the staff through successful hiring, training, supervision and development while providing safety instruction and guidance, as well as support peer team members in all aspects of dining services operations.
Individuals who are self-motivated, organized, goal oriented, flexible, diplomatic, and creative should apply. They must be able to solve problems quickly and discreetly and posses the ability to handle pressure and tight deadlines.
The successful team member should have a track record of great customer service, a coaching style in supervising staff, an understanding of the importance of team work, and the ability to deliver on and maintain a safe work environment and various types of service training.
