U.S. History/ Asian-American and/or Asian Diasporic/Pacific World History

The Department of History at Davidson College invites applicants for a full-time, 2-year visiting position in U.S. History with a preferred specialization in Asian-American history and/or Asian Diasporic/Pacific World history. The successful candidate will offer courses at both introductory and advanced levels, including two of three U.S. history surveys, and should expect to participate in the college’s Writing Program. The regular teaching load is 5 courses per year.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate teaching, have a compelling research agenda, and should have Ph.D. (in history or other relevant field) in hand (or nearly so) by August 2023.
