Commons Market Associate

This is a full/part-time non-benefited position. Hours include evening and weekend shifts. The Commons Market is open 7 days a week from 9 am -11 pm.  The Cashier is responsible for cash register operation, assisting with storing, rotating and restocking products. Creating attractive and inviting displays.  Keep pricing tags and signage current.  

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service, greet students, and provide them with item information and direct them to the item's location in the store.  Operate a cash register during service.  Process credit card and meal plan transactions with speed and accuracy. Adherence to all safety policies and procedures of Davidson College and local, state, and national authorities. Ability to perform strenuous physical duties such as lifting, walking, and standing for long periods.  Lift boxes up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED (preferred)

Point of Sale (POS) experience (preferred)
