Davidson College seeks a permanent part-time Building Services Worker to perform a variety of custodial and general housekeeping duties involving the care and cleaning of college buildings. Perform general housekeeping duties involves the cleaning, stocking of supplies and use of equipment in College buildings to include: offices, restrooms, classrooms, stairs, balconies and stair landings, lobbies, activity buildings.
This 12-month position is generally Monday through Friday, though occasional weekend work is required. This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM. The position qualifies for limited benefits, including vacation, sick time, holidays, plus participation in the college's retirement plan. Competitive salary especially for candidates with experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1 year or less work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Some housekeeping experience desired but not necessary. Steady work history desired.
- Ability to understand and read written and verbal instructions and follow through. Some knowledge of cleaning equipment and technique desired. Ability to interact positively with a wide variety of customers.
