The Department of Arab Studies at Davidson College invites applications for a two-year visiting position in Arab Studies beginning July 1, 2020. The successful candidate will have completed, or will complete by July 2020, the PhD, and will demonstrate a record of excellence in research, experience in undergraduate teaching, a willingness to mentor undergraduate research projects, and interest in contributing to program building. Native proficiency of Arabic is required. The candidate will be expected to teach Arabic language courses as well as advanced Arabic content courses on an aspect of culture related to the candidate’s area of research interest. Area of specialization is open. The teaching load is five courses over two semesters. Position is open until filled; review of applications begins on March 25, 2020.
