Visiting Assistant Professor Sociology

The Sociology department at Davidson College invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor starting July 1, 2021. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in the Sociology of Health. The successful candidate will teach five courses each year. New Sociology courses and potential contributions to Davidson College's interdisciplinary programs (including Africana Studies, Asian Studies, Environmental Studies, Gender and Sexuality Studies, and Latin American Studies) will be viewed favorably. Candidates are expected to be highly committed to excellence in both undergraduate teaching and scholarly research. Experience teaching undergraduates is strongly preferred. Ph.D. in Sociology should be in hand by June 30, 2021.
