Assistant coach for the Men's and Women's cross country and track and field teams needed to assist in all duties having to do with the recruitment process. The assistant coach will also assist with other duties as needed such as alumni relations, pre-season training camp, organizing and conducting practices, scheduling; administrative responsibilities such as inventory, coordinator of team, professional and recruiting travel in conjunction with the other coaches, and team equipment purchases.
Identify key prospects, coordinating travel and official visits and completing the necessary compliance paperwork.
Coordination of team and professional travel to competitions in conjunction with the other coaching staff. Coordinator of inventory in conjunction with team equipment purchases.
Assist coaching staff with organization and conduction of team practices and competitions.
Bachelor's degree; personal experience in NCAA track and field or cross country competition, or other relevant experience in coaching or recruitment. Strong demonstrated knowledge of sound principles and rules governing cross country (A-10, NCAA).
Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to recruit student-athletes that fit the Davidson College academic profile and the ability to teach cross country and track and field events to individuals and the team as a whole. Outstanding interpersonal skills to relate to a wide diversity of faculty, staff, students, and community members.
