Weekend Covid Testing Coordinator

Davidson College seeks a Weekend COVID Testing Coordinator to become a member of a close-knit team of  professionals working to help the college continue to navigate its students through the pandemic. This  position is a 13  hour per week position. The anticipated schedule for this position includes 6.5 hours on Saturday and 6.5 hours on Sunday.  

This is a temporary part-time position. The duration of the position depends upon continued need, but  the position will not last beyond the end of spring semester, which ends in May 2022. The Weekend COVID Testing  Coordinator will be instrumental in managing the testing process for students who determine a need for testing during the weekend, maintaining testing compliance and producing testing data as requested. This person will be  part of a larger team that involves numerous different departments. Good communication is essential  as well as a flexible attitude, quick thinking, and a caring disposition. 

Duties should not vary from week-to-week but could change to meet ever changing COVID guidelines and protocols.    

• Assist with coordination of all logistics for weekly COVID testing of  students who choose to be tested 

• Communicate proper testing techniques with students who arrive to be tested  

• Monitor test taking and resulting 

• Maintain records of all students who test and the results 

• Communicate with other staff if a positive test result appears

• Provide a weekend report of all testing activity to the Medical Director 

• Other tasks as needed in the College’s response to COVID

Requirements:  

• Bachelor's Degree  

• Full vaccination including booster against Covid-19 

• A valid/clean driver's license to operate a motor vehicle  

• Ability to operate and drive a golf cart  

• Ability and willingness to work in a high-stress environment  

• Willingness and ability to wear proper PPE per guidelines by Davidson College and health  officials (training will be provided)  

• Technological skills and the ability to communicate virtually with students and campus  administrators via Zoom  

• Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement and maintain strict confidentiality

• Proven record of strong administrative skills  

• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly  

• Effective communications skills
