Davidson College seeks an individual to serve as a Staffing Coordinator in our Dining Services department.  The current job market is a challenging one requiring persistence, creativity, networking acumen and organization to successfully engage.  This position, reporting to the Director of Dining Services, will work closely with managers in Dining Services and also partner with the Human Resources department working on job postings, communicating with applicants, marketing the college and Dining Services as an employer, attending to logistics of interviews, and assisting with on-boarding of new employees.  A primary goal is to build and retain a diverse staff in the department from associates to managers.  

A successful applicant will be organized and able to work independently.  The Staffing Coordinator will need to be adept at networking both virtually and face to face with agencies and organizations throughout the Lake Norman region.  They will also need to be adept at managing multiple job postings and processes at different points at the same time.

Job Duties

The Staffing Coordinator will ensure that job openings in Dining Services are well-advertised.  This will include networking with local agencies, employment firms, schools, churches and any other entities that provide connections to prospective applicants on an ongoing basis.

The Staffing Coordinator will also communicate with candidates at the earliest phase of the process to offer support in the application process and to answer any questions about the specific job, working at Davidson, work schedule, etc.

The Staffing Coordinator will provide support to managers communicating with candidates and arranging logistics for phone and in-person interviews.

Sign on bonus in 4 installments:

1st payment - $250  with first full pay check

2nd payment - $500 in December 2022

3rd payment - $250 in  January 2023

4th payment - $500 on May 2023
