Administrative Assistant - Donor Relations
The Office of Donor Relations seeks to strengthen the ties between the college and the community. The office serves those who give their philanthropic and volunteer support to the college, overseeing such activities as gift acknowledgment, reporting, donor recognition and stewardship. The administrative assistant will perform a wide variety of office duties in support of the Director of Donor Relations, Senior Stewardship Advisor and Assistant Directors.
This position is responsible for processing, proofing and emailing biweekly gift acknowledgments and tribute notifications, and conducting donor, gift, restricted fund and scholarship recipient research using Blackbaud CRM, Banner 9, Blackbaud Awards Management and Etrieve. The administrative assistant maintains recognition processes for the office of Donor Relations including assistance with stewardship events like our annual Board of Visitors meeting, Ne Ultra Society Celebration, Celebration of Giving and ‘Cats Say Thanks. The administrative assistant reviews and maintains our donor honor roll and recognition society membership including utilizing internal data to check for accuracy. General clerical work including filing, mailings, and scheduling of appointments and meetings; maintaining and reconciling office budget; serving as point-of-contact for donor and campus partner inquiries; ordering supplies; and preparing all invoices from directors. The administrative assistant also works with Donor Relations team in management of all restricted fund award and stewardship efforts, including annual scholarship recipient outreach, donor reporting efforts and maintenance of stewardship data and restricted fund data using Etrieve.
The position will also include special projects as assigned and require staffing of Donor Relations and College Relations events from time to time.
Associate degree, or vocational or technical school degree
Experience as an office assistant in a fast-paced office and demonstrated attention to detail maybe substitute for some of the above education
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Flexibility and willingness to accept additional assignments and assist other team members as necessary
Strong customer service orientation/experience
Organizational and planning skills and attention to detail and accuracy
Problem analysis and problem-solving skills
Understanding of and adherence to confidentiality standards
Flexibility and adaptability
Experience with data entry
Working knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel
Experience with Banner 9, Blackbaud CRM, Etrieve preferred
Ability and willingness to learn, including self-help, and grow with technological change

Flexible Work Location
Davidson College Relations has a flexible work location program in line with the College’s telecommuting policy. This position is eligible for partial flexibility in work location, during non-event days, as determined with the position’s manager and reviewed regularly through our performance management processes. Candidates should expect to maintain a residence within commuting distance of the Charlotte metro area. An initial campus orientation period (of several weeks to months) worked from the office may be required. This policy is reviewed periodically.
