The Patrol Corporal provides uniform patrol and supervisory functions.  The Patrol Corporal initiates daily shift activity and coordinates response to all emergencies.  Directs, coordinates, and performs a variety of duties to protect members of the Davidson College community.  The Patrol Corporal also conducts routine supervisory functions under the direction of the Sergeants as supervision of full-time and part-time officers; enforcement of departmental policies, care and maintenance of equipment, training new officers, and identifying on-going personnel training requirements. 

Must have at least 2 years prior law enforcement experience.  

Must possess certification as a Law Enforcement Officer in accordance with the provisions of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission (NC BLET certification).

This position will be full-time.  Some evening, holiday, and/or weekend work will be required.  The position will include 12 hours rotating patrol shifts.  May be required to work overtime, for, but not limited to, athletic events, Greek events, move-in/move-out, and commencement.
