An Administrative Assistant in Business Services is needed to provide administrative support to the Controller and management staff as well as to the VP for Finance & Administration. The position will represent the college, Finance & Administration, and Business Services professionally to various internal and external constituencies.
Student billing: Answer student billing and customer account questions from parents, students, and the community, as well as agencies, schools, civic groups, foundations, providers, etc. Requires extensive knowledge of Financial Aid, meal plans, CatCard policies, and Tuition Payment Plans. Deals with confidential information including financial, banking, financial aid, medical/family issues, etc.
Provide administrative support to Controller and management staff and VP for Finance & Administration. Manage the VP for Finance & Administration's appointment calendar. Monitor departmental budget lines for Finance & Administration and Business Services, and coordinate office functions including training sessions on campus, retreats and social events.
Administers the campus P-Cards: responsible for implementation and training of all campus users (500+). Communication and coordination with Bank of America for program updates and system changes necessary at Davidson
Handle routine claims, billing and requests from the college community pertaining to the college's property, auto and general liability insurance policies.
High school diploma; Preferably 3 years of increasingly responsible clerical experience including 1 year of accounting, clerical or related experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word. Experience with Banner is a plus.
