The Davidson College Biology Department invites applications for a two-year visiting assistant professor position in organismal, ecological, or evolutionary biology and/or biostatistics, beginning 01 July 2023.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in biology (or related field) completed by July 2023, ability and interest in teaching biostatistics, and demonstrated potential to teach introductory organismal, ecological, or evolutionary biology. We seek an individual with demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, including fostering inclusive learning environments where all students can thrive. The annual teaching load is five courses over two semesters, which will be met through a combination of introductory organismal biology (BIO114) plus labs, biostatistics (BIO240), and possibly upper-level courses in organismal/ecological/evolutionary biology or genomics during the second year of the contract.
