The Marketing and Digital Communications Specialist position is responsible for WDAV’s front-facing digital communications including social media, email, and blog. As the Marketing and Digital Communications Specialist you will create content as well as coordinate the creation of content by WDAV staff and outside partners. This individual will also play a role in coordinating station events and assist with the production of marketing collateral and branded promotional items.

Fluency with social media is a must, and the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of successfully using these tools within a multi-channel marketing plan aimed to build engagement with a brand. This position requires exceptional analytical, planning, and writing skills.

WDAVs success and longevity is due in no small part to the passion of its staff for the art form and radio as a medium. Staff wear many hats and regularly tackle tasks outside their job description, and the Marketing and Digital Communications Specialist will be no different. A successful candidate will be able to show that they:

Qualifications:

Min 2 years of relevant experience; High School Diploma; and a Valid driver’s license required.  Experience using Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram as marketing channels a must.  Experience with Constant Contact or other email marketing platform.  Experience coordinating events is a plus.  Experience editing video for use in social media is a plus.  Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).  Experience using MS office software including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.  Working knowledge of MS Outlook or similar email application. Some knowledge and appreciation of classical music is preferred.
